Almost 60% of Saudi Arabia’s current construction pipeline of 143 hotels is forecast to open in 2018 - Decofair

Including 27,281 rooms, the planned hotels that will be inaugurated this year represent about 60% of the undergoing establishments of 143 hotels in the kingdom.
The market research company said that the Saudi cities of Riyadh, Jeddah, Makkah, and Al Khobar are the most locations that comprise the undergoing construction processes of hotels.
The hotels which are scheduled to be inaugurated in 2018 included Hilton Riyadh Hotel & Residences; Copthorne Hotel Makkah, Jabel Omar; Swiss-Belhotel Al Aziziya Makkah; Millennium Hotel Jeddah; and Hilton Garden Inn Al Khobar.
Hilton is implementing most of hotel developments in Saudi Arabia, according to the report.
Saudi economic reforms and new laws have boosted investments in the Saudi hospitality sector, Hilton’s vice president for KSA, Levant Kamel Ajami said.
Hilton is forecast to inaugurate three hotels in the Kingdom; namely DoubleTree by Hilton in Makkah’s Jabal Omar development, a Hilton in Riyadh, and a midscale Hilton Garden Inn in Al Khobar.
The three hotels are forecast to add further 1,500 rooms to the international hospitality firm’s hotels in the oil-rich nation.
In the same vein, Swiss-Belhotel International revealed its plans to open three hotels in Saudi Arabia during 2018, of which one will be in Makkah, while the other two hotels will be in Riyadh.
